  Superintendent's Message

  In the Eastern Sierra Unified School District, we are proud of our commitment to Safe, Healthy, and High-Performing Schools for every child.  This vision has become a reality thanks to a supportive Board of Education, a talented support staff, and inspiring teachers.  It is my honor to represent this fine group of people.

  We work diligently to fine-tune our teaching, grow professionally, and expand the capacity of every student.  Just as we expect great things from our students, we also set high standards for our employees.  The relentless and focused work of ESUSD staff, combined with wires decisions by the Board Of Education, and help from families and the community, provide the foundation on which our students build their knowledge and skills.

  In addition to preparing students academically, we recognize the need to give them safe and secure learning environments.  We strive to create a sense of community in each of our schools, so every youngster feels that he or she belongs.  This goal requires educators to collaborate with local youth serving agencies and groups.  Our ongoing commitment is to actively engage the community and create a sense of shared responsibility for student and school success.  The partnership with parents is especially critical in this endeavor.  Finally, we look forward to working with you helping our children become all they can be.
